Symposium: New Work on the New York Schools
- Winterbourne House & Garden
- Arts and Law
Organised by Dr Rona Cran and Dr Yasmine Shamma, this symposium and poetry event aims to bring together scholars and poets working on any aspect of the New York School, for a day of discussion, collaboration, and conversation.
The symposium will take place during the day (invite-only, due to limited space), and will be followed by an evening of poetry and conversation with Alice Notley, Edmund Berrigan, Mark Ford, Rosa Campbell, and Peter Robinson, at the Birmingham and Midland Institute, to which all are welcome. Tickets for the poetry event can be purchased here.
This event is generously sponsored by the University of Birmingham’s American and Canadian Studies Centre, the Birmingham International Engagement Fund, and the Centre for Poetry and Poetics at the University of Durham.
