Join us for the 18th Annual Postgraduate Colloquium in the Centre of Byzantine, Ottoman and Modern Greek Studies at the University of Birmingham.
The language of the conference shall be English. Registration on the day is 8.30-9am.
Our Keynote Speaker will be Dr Christopher Markiewicz of Oxford who shall be speaking on 'Persian Émigrée Secretaries and the Making of an Ottoman Ideology of Rule in the Sixteenth Century'.
The colloquium includes panels on Religion, Minorities under rulers, Trade, Text Analysis, Conflict and Diplomacy, Migrations, Coexistence and Multiculturalism in the Arts!
