In this 90 minute workshop for CARE visitors and for PhD students, we will look at how to use Laurence Anthony's freeware programme AntConc (3.4.4), as well as two other of his programmes: EncodeAnt and AntGram. We will first look at how data should be prepared for use in AntConc (encoding, annotation) and then analyse a sample set of data with some of the tools included in AntConc. We will look at how the programme can be configured for different purposes.
