Abstract

This training session aims at providing students and staff attending with a brief introduction to Antconc (Anthony, 2014), a software tool that allows corpus linguistics research and data-driven learning. Attendees will learn how to download the software and to upload corpus data in it, as well as using some of its tools to look at wordlists, keywords, collocates and concordances to analyse data. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own corpus data (otherwise the instructor will provide with some sample data) and personal laptops. (open to staff, students and CARE visitors)
