Dexterity

While the ability to use tools can be seen across many species, and while the dexterity with which tools are wielded seems to be shaped by a number of factors, there are few complete theories of how organisms successfully use tools (or, indeed, why they use tools at all).  This workshop and symposium would bring together expertise from a wide range of disciplines, Psychology, Bioscience, Computer Science and Engineering in order to establish UoB as a centre for multidisciplinary research on this topic.
