In spitting distance: towards a University of Birmingham centre for the analysis of oral fluids

This workshop will bring together researchers from across the university to create a strong network. The participants will discuss the potential for creating a centre for the analysis of oral fluids, restructuring our collective research and presenting an outward facing portal for future funding applications and external collaborations. The workshop will have attendees from medicine and dentistry linking with engineering, maths and informatics as well as arts and humanities.

To lead and advise on the creation of our potential world-class network Prof David Wong UCLA, will be share his experiences of working at the cutting edge of saliva research. Prof Wong is a leader in salivary diagnostics, particularly focusing on cancer.
