WORKSHOP LEADERS: Dr Shan He (Birmingham) and Dr Nic Geard (IAS Vanguard Fellow, University of Melbourne)

Network medicine is an emerging interdisciplinary research field that uses complex networks, or graphs to tackle important biomedical problems such as understanding molecular mechanisms of disease and controlling infectious disease transmission.  Despite its early promise, as a young interdisciplinary field, network medicine has many open problems to be addressed before it can fully realise its potential.  The aim of this workshop is to bring experts in diverse research fields from Birmingham and other universities, to foster new ideas for collaborations.

This workshop will include talks from leading experts in this area, and a round-table discussion to discuss potential collaborations and funding opportunities.
