Birmingham academic speaks on renewable energy and WTO law in Geneva and London

Dr Luca Rubini will speak on his current research on the support of renewable energy and WTO law in two events.

On 20 April he will speak at an Expert Meeting on Renewable Energy Support Measures and WTO Rules organized by the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD) at the WTO in Geneva.

On 23 May he will speak at the conference Navigating the Green Economy: The Challenges of Climate Change and the Opportunities for Clean Energy in London. This conference is jointly organized by the LSE, the American Bar Association (ABA) and the UK Environmental Law Association (UKELA).

Both contributions focus on whether various policy measures adopted by governments worldwide in support of renewable energy are in line with WTO law, particularly the law of subsidies. Luca will also explore various options for law reform.
