Birmingham Digital on the Big Conversation

Professor David Parker has proposed an undergraduate digital degree for the University of Birmingham as part of the Vice-Chancellor's 'Big Conversation'.

The proposal, put forward in conjunction with members of the Centre for Computational Biology and the Human Interface Technology Team, suggests that students on the course will spend 80% of their time in their chosen discipline and 20% on a course of digital study, to include modules of philosophy, data, computation and dissemination.

The full proposal is available on the Big Conversation blog, an initiative to facilitate discussion about the future at the University of Birmingham. All, both within and beyond Birmingham, are invited to read the proposal and engage with it by offering their comments.
