Sophie is a multidisciplinary PhD student funded through the School of Mathematics Alumni Scholarship scheme under the co-supervision of Professors John Terry and Andrew Bagshaw. Her current research focuses on studying fMRI and EEG data to understand how different human chronotypes manifest in different functional networks as well as the effects of sleep deprivation on brain networks.

Research Activity

The main area of Sophie's research is using fMRI data to differentiate early and late chronotypes. In addition, she is using EEG data from a prolonged sleep deprivation study to try to understand the effects of sleep deprivation on human brain networks.
