Rosie Evans is a PhD student in the Mathematical Biology group, working under the supervision of Dr Meurig Gallagher. Her research is focused on endocrinology and mathematical modelling, with a particular interest in parameter identifiability and model reduction through matched asymptotic analysis.

Qualifications

  • MSc in Applied Mathematics, University of Birmingham, 2020
  • BSc in Mathematics, University of Exeter, 2019
  • Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, 2022

Biography

Rosie graduated from the University of Exeter with a BSc in Mathematics. Following this, she studied at the University of Birmingham for her MSc in Applied Mathematics. Her master's dissertation was entitled "Modelling the Influence of a Coating on the Radial Oscillations of a Microbubble and the Resulting Applications".

Rosie is also a co-lead for the UK-wide Piscopia Initiative, a network that aims to encourage women and non-binary people to pursue a PhD in Mathematics.
