National Rare Disease Symposium

The Centre for Rare Disease Studies, based at the University of Birmingham, will be hosting a National Rare Disease Symposium. The Birmingham Rare Disease Symposium will bring together this expertise and assist in establishing collaborations between Birmingham rare disease researchers, industry, patient organisations and funders to improve care for patients. The Symposium programme will be available on the website shortly.
The University of Birmingham, together with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust and Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, has outstanding expertise and capabilities in rare diseases with over 500 scientists and clinicians working on over 1,000 different rare diseases.
Day 1 Thursday 17 May
Registration opens from 9.30 and the Symposium will start at 10.30 and close at 17.30.
Day 2 Friday 18 May
Registration opens from 8.30 and the Symposium will start at 09.30 and close at 16.00.
