2019 Annual Clinical Academic Training Event

We would like to invite you to take part in the 2019 Annual Clinical Academic Training Event, where Professor Una Martin, Dean of Birmingham Medical School and Professor of Clinical Pharmacology, will be delivering the keynote lecture.

The event will open with a session by the Academy of Medical Sciences (AMS) who will provide information about the range of opportunities they provide.  The keynote session will take place in Lecture Theatre 4, Ground Floor of the Medical School, following a number of short presentations from some of our brightest West Midlands Clinical Academic Trainees.

The keynote lecture will be followed by a networking drinks reception, where you will have the opportunity to talk with a range of senior academics and event attendees.

Abstract Submission Guidance

Please submit your abstracts on the abstract submission form to the ICAT office at icat@contacts.bham.ac.uk  by the dates stated above.

Abstract should be no more than 350 words, completed using Times new roman pt 12 and include:

• Title of abstract
• Names
• Affiliations
• What was the research opportunity – intercalation or other
• Introduction/ Purpose/Aim
• Materials and Methods
• Results
• Relevance/ Conclusions/ Discussion/ Implications
