We are committed to supporting a thriving research environment at the University, and have supported the development and delivery of the Fellowships and Grants Academy, which supports early career researchers submitting their first proposals for funding.
We are also growing the global health research footprint, through working with the Global Health Research Network in MDS, which helps researchers capitalise on funding opportunities, create meaningful collaborations across the College and the University, foster new links to overseas partners, and drives challenge-led research that will strengthen capacity for research and innovation in the UK and developing countries.
In the last academic year, the RDST has supported academics in the MDS to secure over £90 million in funding from various funding bodies including Medical Research Council (MRC), Cancer Research UK (CRUK), Wellcome Trust, British Heart Foundation (BHF), National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), and Versus Arthritis (formerly Arthritis Research UK).
