Rowan Hardy

Rowan Hardy

Dr Hardy is an ARUK Career Development Fellow within the centre of Translational Inflammation Research and Department of Metabolism and Systems Research at the University of Birmingham. Specialising in the roles of steroid metabolism in chronic inflammatory disease, his research group utilise animal models and patient ex vivo biopsies to explore the role of glucocorticoid metabolism in the pathophysiology of chronic inflammation. In this seminar, Dr Hardy presents the most recent insights into the role of the glucocorticoid metabolising enzyme 11beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase in chronic inflammatory disease.
