If you're interested in joining the Energy Materials Group, there are various opportunities advertised throughout the year.
Post-doctoral research positons are available when funding is secured, meaning they are often advertised throughout the year. PhD positions are often advertised in the first half of the calendar year (January - June) and usually start in accordance with the academic year (September - October). Please visit the find a PhD page to check whether any positions are currently available.
If you are a student based in the School of Metallurgy & Materials and studying Material Science and Engineering (MEng) or Mechanical and Materials Engineering (MEng) you may be able to join the group for your final year research project. The coordinator for your course will be able to provide more information on this.
If you are in your antepenultimate or penultimate year of a materials-related degree and studying at the University of Birmingham you may be able to undertake a summer project within the research group. Contact your School or Emma Kendrick to find out whether any funding is available to complete a 6-8 week project – this is an excellent chance to get research experience and find out whether a career in science appeals to you!
