About

Mol micro Birmingham logo-200x200

The Molecular Microbiology Meeting was first held six years ago in Würzburg and, after three successful iterations, moved to Vienna in 2015.

As on previous occasions, the current meeting seeks to unite scientists who study the molecular biology of microbes with a focus on prokaryotes and fungi.
Invited speakers are authors of selected papers recently published in the journal Molecular Microbiology

M4 logo-200pxThe Midlands Molecular Microbiology Meeting known as the M4, originated here in Birmingham in 2014 and has gone from strength to strength, each year, as partners from the Universities of Nottingham (2015 hosts), Leicester (2016 hosts) and Warwick (due to host in 2018) have joined up to create an exciting forum to foster knowledge exchange and collaboration.

To attract young researchers, the joint iteration of both these meetings will feature short talks selected from submitted abstracts and poster sessions.
