Objectives

The main objective of the project is to provide up-to-date state-of-the art resources on the topic of attention in autism for teachers and professionals working with children with autism. This form of knowledge transfer and capacity building is highly strategic in its potential impact on schools having children with autism and improving academic attainment in this population. More specifically, the project will generate three concrete outputs:

  1. A report on current best practice of attention in autism in the four participating countries
  2. A freely available cross-platform version of CPAT - a successful attention intervention programme (Shalev et al., 2007, Spaniol et al., 2018), together with a detailed implementation protocol that could be used by teachers and practitioners across Europe
  3. A Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) targeted at teacher professional development in the topic of attention in autism

Information about the current status of each planned output is available on the Outputs section of this website.
