Physical Sciences for Health CDT
Laimdota Zizmare is a first year student within the Physical Sciences for Health Integrated PhD programme. She first studied at Riga Technical University, Latvia gaining a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering and then graduated from the University of Birmingham with a Masters degree in Medicinal Chemistry/Drug Discovery, Development and Delivery. During her time at UoB she completed a project looking into the stability and degradation issues for enzyme-responsive polyion complex nanoparticles as drug carriers. Her research interests mainly involve developing new methods for effective drug delivery.
