Physical Sciences for Health CDT
Laura Ferrante is a first year student within the Physical Sciences for Health Integrated PhD programme. She first graduated in Bioengineering at the University of Pavia, then she continued her studies at the University of Birmingham gaining a Masters degree in Robotics. During her time at Birmingham she completed a project estimating the impedance of the human hand during a cooperative physical human-robot interaction. Her research interest is bringing intelligence to robotics systems used in biomedical field such as limb prostheses.
