The Clinical Research Network in collaboration with the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) has developed the Research Site Initiative Scheme which is open to practices within the Birmingham and Black Country area. The aim is to establish and maintain capacity and capability for you and your practice to contribute to NIHR portfolio research.
How it works
You are invited to apply for membership and, if successful, your practice will be allocated funding to cover research infrastructure costs in addition to Service Supports Costs (SSCs).
Funding is available for your GP Practice to cover research infrastructure costs in addition to the usual SSCs paid to cover all agreed study activity related to specific research projects undertaken by the practice. In return for this additional funding, your practice will need to meet specific research related requirements such as Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Training and RCGP Research Ready® accreditation.
