daughter on father's shoulders both smilingHealthy Dads, Healthy Kids (HDHK) was a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) funded study.

HDHK was developed by the University of Newcastle, Australia to address weight management in fathers in the context of their families, such that changes in their health behaviours would positively impact their children, and children help their father to maintain his behaviour change. We modified the existing weight management and healthy lifestyle programme for fathers and their children (aged 4-11 years), and tested its feasibility for an RCT in a UK multi-ethnic population.
