  • The 'Translation Profession' seminar series

Speaker: Paul Kaye, Language Officer, European Commission Representation in the UK

Paul will explain how the European Union's administrative institutions handle the translation workload created by the EU's policy of multilingualism, with a more detailed look at the work of the European Commission's English translation department. He will also describe the careers opportunities for linguists in the EU institutions and outline the uncertainties created by the UK membership referendum result.
