Dr Hilary Brown gives keynote lecture in Lausanne

BCT member Dr Hilary Brown was invited to give the opening keynote lecture at an international conference on the history of women translators at the Centre de traduction littéraire, University of Lausanne, Switzerland.

Dr Brown’s lecture was entitled “Female Translators in History: Towards a ‘Woman-Interrogated’ Approach” and proposed a new theoretical/methodological framework for research in this field.

Conference proceedings are due to be published in the Cahiers du Centre de traduction littéraire.
