U21 Autism Research Network background

The U21 Autism Research Network was set up with funds from the Universitas 21 Researcher Resilience Fund, bringing together 6 autism research groups from U21 universities. The Network aims to make a starting point in addressing challenges to collaboration across borders as well as the lack of diversity and inclusion in autism research.

Brief summary of the event

Join the U21 Autism Research Network on Wednesday 31st March 2021 (6-8:30pm BST) for “Let’s talk about autism: diversity and inclusion”. This international event will provide insight to experiences of being autistic from a diverse range of autistic individuals and discuss the importance of diversity and inclusion in autism research. Attendees will learn how we can all make society and research more inclusive for autistic individuals. Two expert panel discussions will be held: Lived experiences of autism (18:20-19:10 BST); Diversity and inclusion in autism research (19:20-20:10 BST).
