CREES 60 anniversary event

The event is on the occasion of the 60 anniversary since the establishment of CREES.
It is designed to highlight the long and distinguished contribution of the Centre to the University through an intellectual engagement that brings together regional experts from a range of social science disciplines. There will be 5 distinguished speakers from 5 different social science disciplines.
Programme:
- Buffet lunch: 13:00-14:00 (closed event, registrants only)
- Panel and discussion: 14:00-17:00 (with refreshments break, all welcome)
Hosts:
- Deema Kaneff: Convenor and Chair
- Richard Black: Head of College of Social Sciences and Pro-Vice-Chancellor. Professor Black will open the session.
Guest speakers:
The guest speakers will kick off the event with brief talks as to what they perceive are some highlights from the last 60 years of the region (from the perspective of their respective discipline). The floor will then be open – an opportunity for all participates to contribute to the collective discussion.
