Current and former staff members and many Centre for Russian and East European Studies (CREES) alumni (CREES-niks, as they are known informally) re-unite every year at the CREES Annual Conference, which takes place in early June at the Cumberland Lodge, located in the Windsor Great Park. The conference provides ample opportunities for discussing existing new developments in and around REES, reconnecting and socialising with friends and colleagues in the beautiful surroundings of the Lodge.
The conference traditionally opens on a Friday night with a dinner followed by a keynote speech by a distinguished speaker. Panels and round tables take place on Saturday and Sunday morning. The conference concludes with lunch (usually on the lawn in front of the Lodge).
The postgraduate students, whether Master’s or PhD, are strongly encouraged to attend and many deliver highly successful presentations to a friendly and very well informed audience.
