Join us for a screening of two highly acclaimed short films by award-winning dance film director, Sima Gonsai.
 And Breathe was screened at COP27 in Egypt and Cultivate was screened at COP28 at an independent event in Birmingham. Both films have been screened at international dance-film festivals and use dance and film as media to explore the climate crisis.\n
 The screening will be followed by a discussion panel with the director, movement director and partners behind the films to illuminate on their production and their response to different aspects of sustainability and climate change.\n
 The event is free, however booking is essential.\n
 The discussion panel will feature:\n

Sima Gonsai: artist-filmmaker, director and producer
Dr Karen Wood: Movement director and Associate Professor in Dance, Coventry University
Professor Annie Mahtani: Professor of Electroacoustic Composition and Practice, University of Birmingham
Professor David Hannah: Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Sustainability) and Director of the Birmingham Institute for Sustainability and Climate Action, University of Birmingham
