Podcast: Peace Negotiations and Peacebuilding in the Middle East: The Role of Religion and Culture in Processes of Reconciliation

Tuesday 1 April 2014 (17:00-18:30)

Lindsay Murch All welcome Register for the event (booking essential).

The conflicts in the Middle East have proved intractable for decades. No secure peace has been found and governments are seeking to maintain a fragile status quo.

In the face of competing demands over land and other resources, can religious actors participate in mediation efforts and play a peacebuilding role in the Middle East?

Is there a place for soft power next to realpolitik? What have been some of the examples of peacebuilding across cultures and religions?
