Birmingham Policy Commission Report

 

The Distribution of Wealth Commission examined some of the fundamental questions facing wealth distribution in the UK. Its report discusses the nature of wealth and why it matters, considers whether or not wealth inequality is a problem, and proposes appropriate policy responses to wealth inequality.

As part of its work, the Commission appointed Ipsos MORI to carry out an online survey of attitudes to wealth inequality among 1,016 members of the general public. Read a summary of the key findings here

The Report Launch

The Commission Report was launched in October 2013 with a panel discussion involving Bishop David Urquhart (Chair of the Commission), Professor Karen Rowlingson (Policy Commission Academic Director) and Professor Sir John Hills (Director, Centre for Analysis of Social Exclusion).
