Join us to explore a potential ECR Mental Health Humanities Network. This second event follows the progress made at our initial May meeting.

The two-hour research showcase and launch event on 30 June at the University of Birmingham will open with an introduction from the network organisers. Beyond this, there will be an opening talk from another network organiseras well as a series of lightning talks, looking towards expanding the network and embracing new researchers in the field. The programme also includes the soft launch of the Network working document.

An overview of the guiding principles of the group will be given and feedback from attendees sought -- this is your chance to shape Mental Health Humanities. There will also be a chance for informal networking over snacks and drinks. For hybrid attendees, there will be a chance to watch and participate the first hour, with the second hour being in-person only.

The event starts at 4pm (BST) at the Edgbaston Park Hotel and is free, but registration is required.

You must be: part of the British Academy ECR Network in the Midlands Region, wish to join and become part of this Mental Health Humanities Network; identify as an ECR working in the Mental Health Humanities; and want actively to participate in discussions.

The Network can cover travel and accommodation expenses for ECRs and Partners to attend the event. Please email ecr_network@thebritishacademy.ac.uk for more details on how to get this covered.

Event Organisers: Rebecca Wynter; Honorary Research Fellow, Institute of Applied Health Research, University of Birmingham and ECRN Member and Christina Wilkins; Lecturer in Film and Creative Writing, University of Birmingham and ECRN Member.
