
The University of Birmingham's Centre for Railway Research and Education has welcomed the publication of a major report into UK rail investment, to which it contributed to as a specialist advisor.

University of Birmingham engineering expert Dr Sakdirat Kaewunruen has been appointed to a key role with an international working group that aims to make railways around the globe more eco-friendly.

The engineering scientist, Dr Sakdirat Kaewunruen, in the School of Engineering, The University of Birmingham has been appointed as the UK principal scientist for the working group on recycling of rolling stocks of International (ISO) Standard Committee; and recently hosted 'International Expert Meeting on Recycling of Rolling Stocks' at The University in late May 2018.
