Business in the Community is holding several events to celebrate Responsible Business in Action; our extended showcase of the best insights and impactful case studies from across the Responsible Business Map. The initiative is designed to inform, inspire and engage responsible business leaders leading up to the Responsible Business Awards Gala Dinner on 9th July.

This event is being generously hosted by Sky at their fantastic ‘campus’, Sky Central, Grant Way, Isleworth TW7 5QD. Nearest Train Station: SYON LANE from Waterloo Mainline Station. Nearest Tube Station: OSTERLEY

Please note: For those organisations based in other parts of the UK, who prefer not to travel to London, we will be holding similar events in Birmingham (14 May: 1400-1630), Edinburgh (16 May:1400-1630), Cardiff (22 May: 1400 – 1630) and Leeds (22 May: 1400-1630). Further details for these events will be communicated shortly.

This event will begin at 11:00 with registration and come to a close following a networking lunch no later than 15:00. We are also delighted to be able to offer guests the opportunity of a guided tour of Sky’s campus, focusing on their wide-ranging and innovative Responsible Business programmes and activities.

This will be an interactive event where our guests will learn about the latest trends in UK responsible business, hot off the press from the first data set of the Responsible Business Tracker®. We will also be announcing details of those organisation who have been selected as finalists in this year’s Responsible Business Award categories and to celebrate their achievement.

There will be an opportunity to question and learn from the experiences of other responsible business practitioners:

- how they have delivered innovative programmes and driven change?
- find out more about the enablers, blockers and challenges of delivering these programmes.

Speakers will include:

  • Fiona Ball (Head of Inspirational Business and Sky Ocean Rescue, Group), and Charlotte Brierly (Senior Inspirational Business Manager) will share their insights and what these mean for Sky and UK businesses more broadly.

  • Professor Ian Thomson (Centre Director of the Lloyds Banking Group Centre for Responsible Business at The University of Birmingham) will share his thoughts on what the insights mean for responsible business.

  • Maria-Jose Subiela (Business in the Communit's Director of Global Goals) will share BITC’s view on the ‘State of the Nation of Responsible Business’.

PLEASE NOTE: places at this event will be limited and allocated on a strictly first come, first served basis but we will be operating a waiting list.
