Migrations and Diversifications in UK and Japan

New and Old Diversity Exchange (NODE) is an academic network initiated by the Institute for Research into Superdiversity (IRiS) at the University of Birmingham and the Institute of Asian Migrations (IAM) at Waseda University to explore migration and diversity in the UK and Japan from a comparative and interdisciplinary perspective.

This event launches the special issue on the journal Comparative Migration Studies edited and authored by members of the NODE UK|Japan network. All articles are available open access via the the journal website and the new NODE portal which will be launched at the event.

Programme: Introduction to the special issue and each paper by the editors and authors; Launch of the NODE portal; Introduction to policy shorts based on the special issue; Discussion on the future of NODE network.

Speakers include: Professor Jenny Phillimore (University of Birmingham); Professor Gracia Liu-Farrer (Waseda University); Professor Nando Sigona (University of Birmingham) and the authors of the special issue.

The event will be held online; booking is required.
