Biography:
 Professor Ranabir Samaddar's research concerns migration and refugee studies, with a focus the theory and practices of dialogue, nationalism and post-colonial statehood in South Asia. Alongside a three-volume study of Indian nationalism, his books include The Materiality of Politics (Anthem Press, 2007), The Emergence of the Political Subject (Sage, 2009) and The Postcolonial Age of Migration (Routledge 2021).\n
