Our partners

The Centre for Women’s Enterprise, Leadership, Economy & Diversity (WE-LEAD) works collaboratively with a variety of organisations, policy-makers, financial institutions, corporations and academic institutions to bring about change. Here are some of our key partners:

Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM)

The Institute of Leadership & Management is a professional membership body that connects like-minded people with the shared purpose of inspiring great leadership everywhere. WE LEAD is currently working with the Institute on a programme of work concerned with responsible leadership practice in a variety of contexts.

West Midlands Women’s Voice

West Midlands Women’s Voice focusses on promoting the role of women in the emerging political and economic climate. WMWV acts as a critical friend to WE LEAD’s activities and an active participant in WE LEAD’s debates.

West Midlands Combined Authority (Leadership Commission)

The West Midlands Combines Authority set up the Leadership Commission to examine why the wider leadership of the region is not more representative of the people it serves. WE LEAD’s Director, Professor Kiran Trehan, was appointed as one of the Commissioners on this project.

Andy Lee, Strategic Lead, Diversity in Business Banking NatWest/Royal Bank of Scotland/Ulster Bank

Andy leads the NatWest Business Banking Strategy for Diversity in Business across the U.K. He works with academic institutions, including our Centre WE LEAD, national organisations and industry bodies to design and deliver an inclusive support system for Businesses, Entrepreneurs and Communities.

The Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Centre in San Francisco delivers world-class resources through events, education, and mentorship to enable every entrepreneur across the globe to realize their maximum potential. Prof. Trehan has met with the Centre and will be leading a collaborative research project with Nasdaq and Lehigh University on the impact of mentorship process in new ventures for migrant businesses.
