Whether you know the career path you want to follow after completing your degree or not, the optional placement year offered by the Biomedical Science programme allows you to gain vital experience in an industry area of your choice and learn how the knowledge and skills you are developing on the course are applied to real world scenarios.
Our students have taken placements and internships in a variety of areas including research laboratories, medical communications and medical volunteer placements abroad. Many students also choose to complete shorter internships during the summer. Students can also apply for bursaries to help fund these opportunities.
From perfecting CVs to writing applications and developing interview skills, Careers Network offer a comprehensive programme of tailored support for students in finding and applying for placements and internships.
