PhD Title: Development of plasmids that can displace antibiotic resistance plasmids from the human and animal gut

Supervisors: Professor C.M. Thomas and Dr M. Webber

By using the innate biology of plasmids to reduce the burden of antibiotic resistance is a novel and exciting approach. My project will involve developing the pCURE technology and trying to bring it from bench to bedside.

BMedSc (Hons) from University of Birmingham (2013)

Grew up in Switzerland where I did all my schooling at the International School of Geneva. Moved to Birmingham to do a BMedSc at the Universiy of Birmingham in the College of Medical and Dental Sciences following a year at the University of Geneva. Developed an interest in antibiotic resistance biology while doing my undergraduate project with Professor Laura Piddock and Mark Webber.
