Sebastian Fleischer, BSc in International Business with Spanish | Capgemini Consulting

Sebastian FleischerWhat have you been doing since graduation?

After graduation I worked two years for Pricewaterhouse Coopers within Audit Industrial Services in Germany. I then decided to seek new challenges and after spending some time travelling in Asia  I co-founded a company, specializing in selling shore excursions to cruise guests. Thereafter I started working for Capgemini Consulting (almost two years by now) where I have worked for blue chip clients delivering global scale transformation projects around the world. As part of that, but also in private I have continued to pursue my passion to travel as much as possible.

Are you still in touch with friends that you made while you were here?

Yes, most of my friends from Birmingham University work and live in London where I get to see them occasionally.

What did you learn during your time at university that you’ve found valuable since leaving?

Open-mindedness and independent thinking are among the most valuable traits that UoB helped me to build and cherish.

How did your time at university help your career prospects?

The University helped me to differentiate my profile in front of employers among other graduates and young professionals in Germany. I benefited a lot from the international and multi-cultural exposure at which helps me to analyze business prospects from different angles.
