Hang joined the University of Birmingham as a PhD student in Department of Finance in 2014. Her research interests include mergers and acquisitions, empirical corporate finance, and corporate governance. Her papers co-authored by her supervisors have been or will be presented in top finance conferences such as the 14th Corporate Finance Day (Antwerp, Belgium), the Financial Management Association annual meeting (Boston, USA), and the European Financial Management Association annual meeting (Athens, Greece).

She is also a teaching assistant for two modules for Master level students. Before starting her phD, Hang graduated from Cass Business School in major of Corporate Finance with Distinction. Hang also holds dual-degree in terms of her undergraduate study from the University of Liverpool and the Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University.
