Bo joined the University of Birmingham as a PhD student in the Department of Finance in September 2015. Prior to his PhD Study, Bo graduated from the University of Bristol in MSc Finance and Investment. Bo also holds double degrees from his undergraduate study at the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics.

Bo’s research interest concerns empirical topics in corporate finance and governance. Specifically on executive compensation, managerial risk-taking, capital structure, the risk-related agency issue in mergers and acquisitions and other agency conflicts. His research has been presented at the 15th Corporate Finance Day (Antwerp, Belgium), the 31st Australasian Finance and Banking Conference (Sydney, Australia) and the 55th Eastern Finance Association Annual Meeting (Miami, US).
