Katharina is a doctoral researcher in the Department of Marketing at the Birmingham Business School. Her research focuses on how branded entertainment and new product placement modalities are transforming the creative industries. She has received the Birmingham Business School Doctoral Scholarships for her PhD studies.

Katharina also currently teaches tutorials to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Marketing Strategy and Psychology of Marketing and Advertising at Goldsmiths, University of London. Prior to commencing her PhD studies, she was employed as a research assistant at the same institution working on a project about mobile payments and real-time marketing funded by Innovate UK. Katharina has further worked in Marketing across a range of industries predominately in film and music, but also in tourism and personal care.

2014: Double degree in BA (Hons) Business Studies & International Management, Hochschule Bremen, Germany & University of Hertfordshire
