Evan Davis will be visiting the University of Birmingham to deliver a lecture entitled, “Why London dominates and what the rest of the country should do about it?”
Evan Davis has recently been appointed as a presenter of the BBC2 current affairs programme, Newsnight. Before that, he was a presenter on the Radio 4 Today programme. He is also well-known as the presenter of the BBC2 business reality show, Dragons Den. For many years before he became a presenter at the BBC, Evan was reporting on the economy as an economics correspondent and then as Economics Editor, the most senior economics role in BBC News. In the late 1980s and early 90s, Evan worked at the Institute for Fiscal Studies, and as a research fellow at the London Business School. He studied at St John's College Oxford and the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
