Following the Conservatives’ victory in the general election there will be a referendum on Britain’s membership of the European Union in 2016 or 2017. Supporters and opponents of Britain’s continued membership of the EU may disagree on the merits of remaining in the Union, but they all agree that the decision to stay or go will have a significant impact. Our ESRC Festival of Social Science event seeks to provide informed analysis and debate and encourage members of the public to ask questions of a panel of social scientists and politicians, who will offer their initial opinions and perspectives as a panel discussion.

Speakers: Rebecca Driver (Analytically Driven), Simon Hix(LSE), Patrick Minford(Cardiff Business School) and Graham Stringer MP
