Speaker profile

Libertad González is an associate professor of Economics at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and the Barcelona GSE. She works in labor, public, and health economics, and is mainly interested in topics related to the family (marriage, divorce, fertility), female labor force participation, migration, and infant health.

She received her PhD in Economics from Northwestern University in 2003. She is also a research fellow at IZA (Institute for the Study of Labor, Germany), and has been a visiting professor at Boston University, Columbia University (New York), UBC (Vancouver), and CREST (Paris).
