Dr Mahmoud Alajaty is an Assistant Professor in Strategy and International Business in the Department of Strategy and International Business at Birmingham Business School. Biography

Mahmoud is an Assistant Professor of Strategy and International Business at Birmingham Business School. He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and he has extensive international academic experience. He started his academic career in 2005 in executive teaching, working as a Teaching Fellow in Strategic Management at a partner of a French ‘grande école’ in the Middle East. He then completed his PhD at Hull University Business School, where he also taught International Business. Before joining Birmingham Business School, Mahmoud worked as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Huddersfield Business School, where he was the Director of the MSc International Business programmes and taught various Strategy and International Business courses in the UK, as well as in Hong Kong. Mahmoud is currently a Dubai Flying Faculty in the Department of Strategy and International Business at Birmingham Business School, and the Department Senior Tutor. He is also an External Examiner for the MBA (Executive and FT) Programmes at Nottingham Business School.

Mahmoud specialises in teaching topics related to Strategic Management and International Business and he is currently leading and teaching the following modules:
