University of Birmingham sends their students to Mars!
Birmingham Business School is pleased to have established an outstanding relationship with Mars China over the past two years. Mandy Wishart, Global Talent Specialist from Mars has become a familiar face at Birmingham Business School, facilitating information sessions to students annually on Mars' graduate opportunities in China. Opportunities open to University of Birmingham students include avenues into their General Leadership Programme and their functional programmes.
Birmingham Business School and the University of Birmingham are proud to have a significant number of alumni working for Mars around the world. Mars China has a need for high calibre postgraduate students and have collaborated with Birmingham Business School’s Careers in Business team to establish a number of opportunities to match Birmingham postgraduates with Mars graduate opportunities in China. One of our recent graduates was successful in obtaining a position on the General Management Programme in Beijing which started in December 2013. Subsequently, four of Birmingham Business School’s current Masters students were selected to visit Mars headquarters and factory in Slough. All students spent the day at Mars and were given an exclusive tour of the factory where they were able to attend presentations given by current Mars graduate trainees. The students are currently participating in the selection process with Mars China.
These unique presentations and insight days with Mars China offered to students demonstrates Birmingham Business School’s and the University of Birmingham’s commitment to the development of our graduates’ careers.
