Research

We’re building on the strengths of Birmingham Business School researchers, consolidating our world leading research, undertaking innovative research projects, building responsible business research capacity and winning additional research funding.

Through a regular series of workshops, social innovation labs and Responsibility Dialogues involving other academics, policy makers, change agents, educators and business professionals, we will ‘challenge map’ what’s needed to make the transition from irresponsible to responsible business and explore how we can deliver potential solutions and create impact.

Ours is an inter-disciplinary, collaborative approach. We are continuing to forge relationships and explore opportunities with other research centres within the University – co-hosting seminars, establishing capacity for joint projects/research grants and co-supervising PhDs.

As part of an ongoing discussion forum, we asked some of the leading academics from across the University of Birmingham how they would describe what it means to be a responsible business in today’s society (PDF - 518KB).
