Biography

Chacko George Kannothra is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Strategy and International Business at the Department of Strategy and International Business, University of Birmingham. His research is interdisciplinary and combines strategy, international business and social entrepreneurship. His current research focuses on the core contingencies and strategies of managing social enterprises in global contexts. In this regard, his research explores the variations in business models of social enterprises. He also studies various new initiatives in the global business process outsourcing industry and their potential to promote inclusive employment opportunities and regional development in South Asia and Africa. Before entering academia, Chacko worked as a business analyst and operations lead for the compensation benefits and administration program of Accenture and as an executive at the Consultancy Development Centre, Ministry of Science and Technology, India.
