Mohamed is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting at the Birmingham Business School. He has extensive teaching and course management experience at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels and has been an external examiner for accounting programmes at two universities in the UK.

Biography

Mohamed joined Birmingham Business School in January 2019 as Associate Professor in Accounting. Prior to this he was at Aston University where he was also course director for the MSc Accounting and Finance programme. He has  previously also held full-time and part-time teaching positions at the University of Essex, Coventry University, and the University of Glasgow.

Research

Mohamed’s research interests are in the broad areas of accounting education, ethics and accountability, and Islamic accounting.
